How much point award a tournament ?
The number of points awarded in a tournament depends on: the player's ranking in that tournament; the number of players ranked in that tournament. Let x be the number of players ranked in a tournament where there are no tied players, and r be the (x-1)th root of 10: the player ranked first in the tournament will have 1000+x points; the player ranked second in the tournament will have 1000/r points; players ranked third or lower in the tournament will have, in the (n+1)-th place in the ranking, the number of points of the player in the n-th place divided by r, and so on until the last place in the ranking, where the last-ranked player scores 100 points. Note: points are awarded linearly on a logarithmic scale ranging from 100 points for the last-ranked player to 1000 for the first-ranked player. The only exception to this linearity is the bonus for the first player, which corresponds to the number of players ranked in the tournament. In the event of a tie, the players concerned share the points allocated for the ranking. For example, three players tied for second place in a tournament receive the points allocated for second, third, and fourth place, added together and divided by three. An unranked organizer also scores 100 points. Another unranked person may also score these 100 points at their request or at the request of the tournament organizers if they were present at the tournament and helped it run smoothly. In the event of a last-minute cancellation of a tournament (e.g., due to a lack of players), the players present at the venue also score 100 points as compensation. If, due to a tournament rule, a place in the tournament ranking is officially vacant or is occupied by a duplicate (the position of the second or second-best results of a player who has played on two tables in one or more rounds), the players ranked after this place are considered, for the calculation of Tour de France points, as being ranked one place above their official rank.
